If you are looking for a great, fun place to fish, Hawaii is the place. You make want to take a boat ride on the ocean and enjoy the tropical breeze and the breathtaking scenery.

This is truly paradise. But there are some tips to keep in mind to make this extra special vacation even more special. Make sure you plan ahead so that you have everything you need on this fishing vacation.

When planning ahead, you will want to line up a boat. Keep in mind, that you will need a boat that is large enough for you and all of your friends. Also, the fish need to be stored in a cool place so you will need a large cold storage facility. You will need to check with the boat service and see if there are any seasonal fishing discounts or if there are extra amenities that you can request free of charge. Also, make note of what items they do not supply and what you will need to bring with you.

The next concern is where you want to fish. You will need to decide if you want to take a short day trip or if you want to take an extended trip. Try to get as much information as possible from the boat service; they will know exactly where the great fishing spots are.

Keep in mind, you will need some basic things such as bottled water, fishing equipment, extra clothes and a life jacket. The boat company may provide these items for free or for a small fee. Make sure you inquire, before purchasing extra equipment that you do not need.

Dress comfortably! It will get warm out there so you might want to wear loose fitting clothes such as, a t-shirt and shorts. And, do not forget a hat, sunscreen and glasses. Keep in mind that you are on a boat, so you will need shoes that are slip resistant, so you won’t slip! Water tends to accumulate in puddles on the boat, so be careful!

Water! The boat company may supply refreshments with the boat rental. If not, you will need to stock up before you get out on the water. You also might want to bring some healthy snacks such as fruit, granola bars and crackers.

Plan ahead. If you have never been boating before, call ahead and ask for advice and suggestions. Make sure you have all the information you need to have an unforgettable vacation! Rest up before your vacation so that you have plenty of time to explore and take full advantage of the activities.
